The time has come to get a Intellectual Rights Attorney. (No issues but I like to be prepared.) I want someone familiar with Copyrights and Commission Contracts.... and all the things that Artists deal with.
I don't think proximity is really a big factor, but expertise is. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Make sure whoever you get knows that these are federal court cases. If they don't, run away.

and there are Lawyers for the Arts in every state also, Wendy, that might be a resource for you.
Yes, I do.
I used an attorney to help me about 5 -6 months ago dealing with trademark infringement.
He is a member of a large law firm group. I didn't want to mess around; I felt that I needed to start at the top. Not cheap, but I felt that the service was excellent.
You may email me if you would like me to give you more info.
