I currently have business insurance that covers my art at shows, but the annual premium of $600 just seems a bit much. Are there companies out there that specialize in show only type of coverage?
Thanks for any input - Linda

Thanks to all that responded. I posted this in 2009 and should have archived it. I'll leave it open for awhile so others can review the suggestions. Shortly after I posted this, I went with RLI out of Peoria, IL and am very happy with their rates and personalized immediate service. I needed to have a 2,000,000 liability coverage and useful in all states & Canada. The annual cost is under $300 and when I've asked for Certificates of coverage, they send the same day to the event's coordinator. In addition to show coverage, it also includes inventory contents of my utility trailer for theft and damage. Thanks again everyone :)

Wow! I just had to change companies because my glassblowing studio is just over 5 miles from the fire house. I have 2 million in liability, building and contents and inventory on the road. My premium went from $1,600 to $5,000! Thanks for sharing; I will look them up...
The Artists, Crafters and Tradesman program may be something to look into also. They just started advertising with artfairinsiders. Their website is www.actinspro.com
Linda, visit KandKinsurance.com, K and K Event Insurance. They are the largest insurers in this arena, specializing in event coverage from the huge events to the individual participant. And, if you do, please tell them Connie Mettler sent you there. I'd love them to renew their advertising on my site, but do it any way...they are very good.
