After a couple of disappointing rejections. Connie suggested we post our jury images and booth shot for AFI members review and critique. You feedback is very much appreciated. I have included an image of our booth from our first show at Fernandina Beach a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, for this picture Sherry could not get this idiot who was minding the booth to move out of the way. (uhhh-that idiot would be me). This picture shows some of the weights and lighting set-up. Sherry also does miniature paintings, which are in this booth shot, but not in our jury booth shot. We will be updating our booth shot either before or during the Taubman Sidewalk Art Sale in Roanoke, Virginia next week. We will be changing our panel configuration to allow for a back door. Any configuration suggestions to accomodate a back entrance would be great. I have set this up as a photo album and the link is below.

How many images do your applications typically require? The reason I ask this is that the last image directs your eye away from the previous images. I've heard, although I can't prove it, that your first image should be something that points toward the rest of the images and the last image should point back. You only get a few seconds of viewing time, every little bit helps. I like that the first four images have the same red in them.
Thanks, Alison. Usually 4 or 5. I have heard Sherry talk about features of a painting that either keep your gaze in the painting or lead your gaze right out of a painting. I always ask her what order for the images with applications. She did not set the order up for this slideshow. I have moved them in a way that I think gives the desired effect. But I will ask Sherry to look at it later.
