Hi,
I am new to Art Fair Insiders, but not to art. I have been drawing, painting and now silk painting forever.
I started out in oils, but because of my smoking and the turp, it bothered my lungs, so I switched to watercolors in the 90's. But now that there are water-soluble oils and I have stopped smoking 26 yrs ago, I have picked that up again.
I used to do alot of florals and local landscapes, but then in 1991 I became scuba certified. That changed my life and my art ! I started taking underwater photos, which I now use as reference for most of my work.
My subject matter tells me if it wants to be in watercolor or oils. For example: a heavy bodied octopus is oils, a delicate lionfish would probably be painted in watercolors.
I left my "real job" of being a visual merchandiser for large department store 3 years, and am now painting full-time and doing the art show circuit. I'm having a blast !
If you would like to talk with me, catch me here or email me at: dvrbon@wi.rr.com
My website is : www.bonnielynnsart.com
Thanks for the chance to introduce myself.

If you keep on with diving, it will change the way you look at the world. It gives you a deeper appreciation for living things, both topside and underwater.
