My name is Lisa and I am an acrylic and mixed media artist. I currently live near Williamsburg, VA but grew up in Western NY. I have been doing some sort of art my whole life but have been selling my work since 2006. In the last 2 years, I have started to do more art festivals. I love doing them!
In my "free" time, I homeschool my two older children who are 10 and 8 and chase around my 3 year old who is constantly trying to "improve" my paintings! Life is very busy for me right now but producing and showing my artwork adds so much more to it.

Glad to have you a member. I live in Pittsburgh, Pa and create handcrafted jewelry. I have only been doing art shows for about two years and they are fun, aren't they. You seem to have your hands full with creating your art and raising / homeschooling your children. I can't even imagine. This is a grear site for connecting with other artists and garnering valuable information. I am looking to expand my shows down into Md and Va so may be we will run into each other.
I too hail from Williamsburg (among other places). I will be finishing my show season this year with two shows in Virginia: An Occasion for the Arts in Williamsburg and Stockley Gardens Fall Art Festival in Norfolk. I see that you're doing a show the day before An Occasion but if you're around, stop by and say hi; my wife and I would enjoy meeting you (Booth B-06). An Occasion for the Arts is a good show for you to walk and glean from; it is among the best in the region with excellent artisans exhibiting.
