Hello fellow artists. I'm Brandon Long, program director of the Community Arts Center in Danville, KY. I'm also an artist that works with found object/recycled assemblage. I'm joining this group because the Community Arts Center is anticipating doing an art fair ourselves and I want to make it the best it can be. I'm sure I'll ask all kinds of questions that have been asked before, but I figure there's no better group to help us tailor an art fair that is satisfying for both artists and organizers.

Well, we are glad to have you join us, Brandon. You ask and we'll do our best to answer. I am presently wearing my newest earrings that I bought at a show last weekend -- all salvaged parts. More and more people are embracing and supporting this media.
Were you at the Arts Festival Conference in Louisville last fall? I met several people from arts councils in that state. I know you've got a great program for Kentucky Made and I'll bet you can add a lot to our discussions.
Many new show directors participate here and learn from all of us and each other. Welcome.
Thanks Connie,
Unfortunately, I was not at the Arts Festival Conference in Louisville. Was that the Zapp Conference? If so, I think that our Executive Director from the Community Arts Center went, but I stayed back at home base. We are based in Danville, KY - right in the middle of the state in the Bluegrass Region. It's good to know that I have found a resource and a great sounding board for our upcoming festival.
