How do most folks decide how much work to bring to a show? I am a printmaker (Original Prints) and typically bring both framed and unframed proofs of the same print, but I am never sure how much framed backup to have. Any 'rule of thumbs' out there? My framed work runs from around $150 to $1200.
Thanks!

Hello Dean, I agree with Amy. You should have extras on hand, but only put out one of each in your bins or on the walls. Once you sell an item you can always replenish your supply. When you get down to your last one of something, if it is a very popular piece, you can take orders for it. That way it is still on display to keep selling more. If you have the room, bring extras but keep them behind a devider or in a bin under a table. People love to buy "one of a kinds".
I believe that if you do not have it, you cannot sell it. I would not put out 20 prints of the same thing because it then devalues it in the customers eyes- instead of "oh, there are only 2 of this one." But, you can hide them away under tables in in your van/trailer.
I have seen other formulas that I am sure people will share, but this is my 2cents.
