As a photographer I'm curious how many different images (matted or framed) do you bring to a show?  I'm thinking somewhere around 20 to 30 different images for a show.  I don't know if this is enough or too much or too little.  I don't want to have print bins with hundreds of different images which looks like shopping for records.

A little advice and experience from all of you is greatly appreciated.

  • I bring enough framed pieces to cover the walls.  For each framed "normal size" (not pano) I bring two of each size, matted.  Then I fill in the matted pieces with other best sellers that have come off the wall and new pieces that I want to get a feel for their sale-ability.  On my walls I have 16 panos and 6 18 x 24s.  I probably have about 30 different pieces matted in each size in the bin.
