Hello!  This weekend I'm doing CoolArt, an sort of outdoor art show taken indoors.  75 juried artists, in the usual 10x10 spaces, but inside with AC.  No music, no food - so hopefully those attending will be there for, you know... art.

Last year 6000 people attended.  This is their 23rd year and each year has had more attendees than the previous.

All that to say, how many business cards and post cards should I take?  This is not an idle question.  For reasons I won't go into, I have to cut my cards myself from whole sheets.  I don't want to cut more than I take.

Thanks so much!  This is my first post

  • I too  cut my own cards.  I cut them 1/8 inch bigger than normal cards, and I use a different color card stock. That way when the 'collectors' stack them up, mine is different and they remember it. I also make 100 cards for each show.
  • I'm with Jim, I'd go with around 100 of each.  I know it doesn't seem much for the number of attendees, but that's the sort of figure that actually get taken (unless you press them into everyone's hands - then take more).
    • two other friends who have done this show said exactly the same thing.  So, 100 it is.  I can cut more on Saturday night if I've suddenly become the prom queen and run out.  :-)  Thanks!!
  • Take 100. When you run out, you run out. If that seems too few, then take more.
