Does anyone have any experience in this area? I have a couple art mediums, one of which I have a real passion for (jewelry) and one of which is extremely marketable (scarves and accessories made from recycled materials). As "green" is especially hot right now I'd like to capitalize on the demand for the scarves and really get the product out there. But I don't know how to do it!
Hi, Claudia. As far as promoting your work- it depends on the type of events that you would like to sell them at. Some require the artist themselves to be in the booth during the event. Otherwise you can look into consignment shops or put your work up on etsy.com or ebay.com. Just a couple of suggestions. I am along the thought of selling myself at shows. Nobody can be as knowledgable and enthusiastic about your artwork as you yourself are.

I don't think the original question has anything to do with art fairs. I think it's more about finding someone to rep your work in the real world. Maybe go to trade shows and see which booths handle similar but not competitive products. Word of mouth from other artists possibly using art reps or supplying art buyers.
