I got an email notification from Zapp about the Hoddy Toddy Marketplace that will take place in December of this year. Oxford is the location of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and the birthplace of William Faulkner.
I am wondering if any of you have applied for/done this show. There are only about 80 artists/crafts persons accepted. I am wondering if the booth fee of $300+ and there is a jury fee of $30. I would have to get lodging for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights due to the distance I live from Oxford. The drive is 6 hours one way, not including meal and potty breaks.

Would love to read reviews of those who have been there recently.

I haven't done this particular show in Oxford but I have done the " Double Decker Festival " in Oxford, the last weekend of April. It was always a great show for me. However the size of the town just about doubles because it's Parents weekend at Ole Miss that weekend. Generally speaking it's a pretty small town, They have a small but cute down town square, hotels can be hard to find they only have a few. It's hard to say if this would be a good show or not just remember it's a college town and that is really all that is there.
Kendra,
Thanks for the input. It is about what I expected to read here.. college town, small. I still would like to hear from anyone who's done the show whether you did well or not, and why you think it turned out the way it did.
