Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Annette and I live in beautiful Columbus, GA.
My daughters and I work in silver and have not found our "signiture style" yet so we are having a great time exploring any technique that catches our eye. The William Holland school is just 4 hrs away so we have enjoyed learning from their wonderful group of teachers. In fact, we are scheduled to go back on Oct. 30th, Paige (my first daughter) will take a Chase and Reposee class, Shannon (daughter #2) will be in a silver class and I will take my second class in cutting opals.
We will attend our first Art fair next week and the butterflies in my stomach are as big as birds!
I am very, very impressed with this site...it is exactly what we need to start showing.

Well the first show is over and we were very pleased with the results. My oldest daughter won an honorable mention for one of her bracelets and I sold the most merchandise. The crowds were bigger than I expected for the event and we sold much more than I thought we would. I would have been pleased if we had just made our entry fee. LOL We still have lots, and lots to learn but with the help of good friends and Art fair insiders...we'll make.

This has been a great site for me and I am sure it will be for you also. Great information and great discussions. I also work with metal - silver and copper as well as creating some beadwoven bracelets up here in PA. I have had so many questions answered sometimes before I even ask them as I journey on in art fairs. Lots of luck and post some photos of your work when you have a chance. It's always great to see each others work. There are amazing artists on this site.
