http://www.hynekart.comI signed on here a few months ago, and am not sure what I have said (if anything) or haven't. I live in Nebraska and work full-time, so I only do a few one-day shows in the summer. I bought panels and a tent, and made weights, and all that fun stuff. I just began doing this June 2011. It's fun, and I see a lot of interesting threads. I will learn alot from those who have been at this awhile. The photo has borrowed panels, I have new ones but not any more space than this.

Hello Pamela and welcome. We are glad to have you here with us. I don't know that I have ever seen that many paintings of cows in one place before. Is the market good for cows out there in Nebraska?
I don't know about anyone else but cows do have cute faces. Cows also seem so accepting of people, too. They are a gentle animal.
Hope to see you around our forums in the future.

I'm not sure, I just started painting cows this last summer. I did sell one bull painting this fall, and a longhorn painting last month. The thing is getting my paintings out of the closet where people can see them. A lady told me that she was told years ago, people will buy pictures of things they can see out their backyard. She thought that was stupid, but found it to be true over the years. I am not sure who wants a cow, but I paint what I like to paint. Does anyone know what people buy paintings of? Sunflowers? Cats? If I did those, people would ask if I had any cows! That display was at the Cattlemen's ball so I thought cattle would be appropriate. I may have overdone it. I sold a pig painting too, the lady was a vegetarian. Go figure. I'll be dead before I figure out what people like or will buy or anything else.
Hi Pamela and welcome aboard :) I'm on a farm so love your cows!!
Thanks! I was reading about the "stupidest comments at a show" thread, and I wanted to start one about the best comments. I think one I got was a woman who said she'd been raised on a farm and spent her life around cattle, but she never thought of them as pretty until she saw my paintings.
Now that IS a compliment Pamela!
Feel free to start your own thread about it :)
