Hi everyone!

 

My name is Linda and I am from Southern California. This site is amazing! Just when I think I'm done finding gems (both people and the things they write) I come across another one. Best thing since Christmas when I was 10.

 

I just got started being a vendor after crossing the line from hobby to thinking maybe I could make money doing this recently and decided to seek other people who have done the same thing.

 

I look forward to meeting all of you...and your art!

    Hi Linda and welcome.  We are glad to have you here.  Just recently we have added lots of west coast shows to the Art Fair Calendar.  To check that out go to www.ArtFairCalendar.com.    Of course, you may already know about those shows.  Do let your west coast friends know about us.  We have lots of information to share.

      Thing is, I'm not sure I qualify for "fine arts" shows or not. I don't do photography or high end items like some of the artists. I make jewelry and some agate/stone wire wrapped things. Some of the vendor tents that I see in the photos are ...far more upscale than I am. No, I'm not putting myself down. I'm just not sure where I "fit" when I think of "fine art" fairs. Does that make sense?

    Linda - welcome to AFI. you'll find a ton of info here.  Nice to see another West Coast artist on the site, we are definitely in the minority around here.

      Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm kind of shocked to hear we are the minority with all the great weather (albeit hot sometimes) we have here. Looking forward to all of it!
