Hey all! I am having a huge dilemma! I am going to launch my new line of palm wax candle line, Destination Scentsations, this Mother's day - featuring it at a flower and art show this weekend and then have them up on my website. The problem is I want the two size candles to not be considers "small" or "large", but something that represents luggage, travel, something along that line. I have had one suggest Day trip and Weekender another one suggests first class and coach. Any other ideas? Do you like these two? I really want something to tie the theme all together and my brain is dead - I have been so focused on the names of the candles (i.e. - Las Vagas Jackpot, Annapolis Waterfront, Key West Key Lime Pie, and New York Apple Orchard to name a few) that I am not sure what to call the 2 different sizes.
Second. I LOVE the responses, but according to my polls I went with Weekender and Vacation Getaway. I got a lot of votes for Day Trip and Weekender and Road Trip and Vacation Getaway. When one person commented they liked them, but suggestions Weekender and Vacation Getaway it just worked - makes sense and both sound pretty appealing. I mean, in terms of size a weekend trip is "smaller" than say a "week long" vacation getaway and both would be welcomed any day. The suggester said that both reminds me of a longer vacation which reminded her of a "longer" burning candle and scent. At the same time I think the terms are universal - anyone from anywhere could get the point of a weekender and vacation getaway. Of course I am always open to more ideas and opinions as you never know what might happen in the future, but a BIG kudos to all how helped me!

P.S. The show I had this past Saturday - where I introduced the new Destination Scentsation candle line, I had an overwhelming response to the candles. Many thought naming the candle sizes were ingenious - another reason why I must thank you all for your creative help!!!
Ooh, Michelle. What about throwing in foreign words to match the destination? Like "Souvenirs de Paris," or "Ete en Provence?" It would take a little leg work if you don't speak the language, but it could be done.
Thanks Connie! The candles are to "capture" the memories of past, present, or future vacations. Each candle fragrance is named after a popular travel destination. The reasons people could buy them are endless - anniversary (honeymoon destination), birthday, souvenir, wedding gift, thinking of you, retirement (everyone seems to talk about traveling when they hit retirement age), those who have vacation homes, etc. I guess you could say they are like a photograph for the nose, but visually neat too. Sorry for letting me ramble. It has just been such a looong and laborious "journey" to get to this point, that it is pretty much what is on my mind day and night. Now where is that shut off button...

I have been wracking my brain too, Michelle. I like the idea of Day Trip and Weekender -- implies size. Do you expect people will purchase these for a trip? or is that just the theme? voyage? journey? trek?

I can't - the names of fragrances signify the different travel destinations. Not that I don't have plans for doing a Paris or Naples line - I do.... But the size of the candle jars should be something other than "medium" or "large" like day trip for small and weekender for a large size. Does that make sense?
FYI - I plan on doing a LOT of fragrance candles, but will release them in groups after the most popular destinations are done. For instance the Caribbean, European, Far East, and Polynesian collections.

Try names of cities in France or Italy.
