Who do I have to know..., or, can anyone point me to a trail of breadcrumbs that leads to Milwaukee's Lakefront Festival of Arts 2017 application?
Since missing their Thanksgiving Day deadline for this year's show, I've checked every couple weeks for the 2017 application. Nothing on the MAM website. Nothing on Zapplication. Nothing on Google. Even their last year's app on zapp looks like someone erased their info from the page. Are they always this tardy? Secretive?
While the art museum that's put on the event for 50-some years is only a stone's throw from my home, I hesitate to contact the organizers directly. Long story. But I'd love an actual chance to get into this show, and I think they'd benefit by my addition of 'something different'.

I am at the ZAPP conference and just attended a session with show directors and some of the best advice I heard from them (as they reported getting from 40-80% of their applications in the last 24 hours) was to apply early. Mostly so that if there is any problem with your application or they have any questions that need to be answered they'll have time to review the application and get back to you to make it perfect for the jury.
Also, directors love those who get their apps in early and you'll get extra brownie points ;) Really.
Guess what, Greg. They've moved up their deadlines and announcements -- coming soon. You haven't missed it. The application is going live in a few days on Zapp.

Thanks Greg, but I've gone thru page after page of links, and they ALL lead to previous years' applications/info - then deadend with nothing at all about 2017's show. Care to be more specific?
