I live in Minnesota and have never done any of the Florida shows (although I did grow up in there). I want to go down in late winter to both jump start the show season and to help my mother with her house, and have already applied to several shows. I would greatly appreciate hearing some input about some of the shows to which I have been accepted and others which are still pending.
•ArtsFest, Stuart (accepted)
•Estero Fine Art Show, Bonita/Naples (accepted)
•Marco Island (pending. Same weekend as Estero)
•Mercato, Naples (pending)
•Fairhope, AL (pending. Same weekend as Stuart. I actually know more about this show.)
I was going to consider applying to Apollo Beach in mid-March, but I read the review posted by Nels, and now I am disinclined. Any other input?

Jan, I'm so sorry you haven't gotten any replies here. I guess the silence is that not many of the artists here have participated in those shows, they don't have much history.
How much is that Marco fee? Some times part of this business is walking away from a fee in order to take part in a better event. I talked to someone this fall who walked away from an Ann Arbor fee to be in another art fair that week in Ann Arbor and was glad he did. I only did Marco Island (this is the one run by the Art Center, right?) one time and was not interested in returning again. Patty Narozsny does take putting her art fairs on personally and does all she can to make them work. I'd weigh losing the booth fee or not.
OK, now it is getting serious!! I really, really, would appreciate ANY input about The Art League of Marco Island's National Art Festival and the Hotwork's (Patty Narozny) Estero Fine Art Show.
Both are on the weekend of Feb. 27 and 28 and I have been accepted into both. I don't usually apply to two shows per weekend, but I am also not used to being accepted so much! Also, if I'm driving all the way from Minnesota, I have to ensure that I have enough shows to make the trip worthwhile!
