I am new here and thank you for your welcome. I live in Lanesboro, MN and do fiber art. I enjoy making landscape quilts and art quilts but I also do practical things like aprons, table runners, napkins and placemats.
I have been in retail for 30 years. I am looking forward to retiring this fall so I can spend more time with my grandchildren (9) and sewing machine.
I plan on doing a few art fairs each year so would like everyones input on which ones work best for you. My website is www.cherylsfabricgarden.com.
Talk to you later. Cheryl

Hello Cheryl and welcome to our group. I think you will find everyone here very friendly and helpful. Boy, I do wish I had time to sew. I used to be a Home Ec teacher years ago and I really miss sewing. Your quilting looks wonderful.
I think your quilted work would do well in the fairs that have crafts, but not the low end crafts. You might like to check out our forum for craft shows and post a question there. The only fiber art I have seen in juried shows is clothing that has been hand dyed or crafted beyond home sewing. How far from home would you go to sell your work? How many shows do you do a year?

Thank you Jacki for your response. Fiber art is very hard to get into art shows. I am working more on doing some art quilts, art wallhangings and I design my own handbags. As I am retired now, I can go most anywhere if there is a good show for me. I only plan on doing about a show every other month. I spend so much time on my projects that it takes me a long time to build up an inventory. I have to find the right shows.
I will have to post and ask what shows might work for me. I have to find the right shows as those that have buy/sell vendors, I never do well at.
Thanks again for your response.
