Hey there everyone! I'm Shana. I've been doing a few fairs in the last three or four years. My work is mostly chainmail (like the armor) jewelry. I started with chainmail armor about 19 years ago, and the hobby just progressed from there. I'm slowly expanding out to look at doing more fairs as my time allows - but it's a little crazy doing fairs on the weekends and running a full-time storefront business at the same time. My husband is cool enough to go to the fairs with me and help, but I'm always on the quest to find a good booth setup that I could easily haul around and setup by myself with minimal effort and time.
If anyone has any questions about me, feel free to ask!

I think my website should be fixed now. Yet another strange error in cyberspace! I'm sort of a Jack-of-many-trades, and somehow the websites loaded to the wrong place!
www.TwistedMaille.com - my chainmail - not many photos yet, but there are photos of the enameled copper earrings
www.PangaeaShop.com - the website that hijacked my chainmail - Japanese bento boxes and Indian tiffins and accessories, etc.
www.FifthAvenueGalleries.com - my frame shop and gifts, along with a few examples of things we've framed
As for setup, I've done a couple shows with my brother who's a leather worker. If we have both sets of stuff, it takes four of us about an hour to set up. If I'm just bringing my chainmail, then it takes my husband and I about an hour to set up. (We do things differently depending on who's along to help!)
Display is the hardest part probably! If you are only doing jewelry, there are a lot of standard set-ups, but if you are also making the belts, bras and what-not there is a lot of types you need. I use to do the shows by myself and just found it easier and better to bring a helper. My set-up takes a couple of hours.
I hope you find lots of good information on here.
