I've only been doing shows for the last couple of years - and haven't ventured out of town yet. Still working on deciding the best way to haul all my stuff.... right now I can easily use two vehicles for local shows. It's time I expand though.... I need to connect with new customers.
My art spans several styles in the mixed media category. I'd love it if I could show all my styles in one shows - but I'm learning to accept that in order to be accepted by the jury, I have to pick one. I'm also finally getting to the point where I price my art at the level it should be (took awhile!).
I appreciate all the info here.

Welcome to the site. I hope you'll be able to find some advice on traveling on the road with your artwork and the best ways to do so. There's a wealth of information on here and many great people willing to share their advice and best tips. I face that difficulty of showing multiple styles as well and have decided that I'm not willing to show just one specific theme or style with my pottery. I'm an artist, and with that, I'm an artist who gets bored with repetition and gets bored looking at other repetitive style work at art shows. So, with that, I continue to show with my eclectic work collection and seem to draw more people in that way. I'm sticking to my guns I guess. Now, don't get me wrong...I have work that is similar in glaze and such and I would say my work consists of "families" of pottery. I'm the artist right? Anyway, I'm pleased to hear you're confident in pricing your work. I'm still working on that one.
I wish you great success in your travels to new art shows! If you have any problems on this site, feel free to contact Connie or me.
