Has anyone personally used a Eurmax tent?

Information on this company and their products is sparse.

But I'm looking at their hexagonal legged tents and it seems good... but they have a major red flag that they are both a Chinese registered company and they have no phone number.

But they seem to have been around for about 5 years...

Would love to hear some first hand testimony whether good or bad. Thank you.

  • I was ready to pull the trigger on a EURMAX BEYOND, and I held a rather lengthy correspondence with 2 employees of the company, but yesterday I threw in the towel.  There was a lot of back and forth about various details related to availability of color (white, of course), and various accessories (Wheel Foot Pad...), awnings, etc and I never waited more than 24 hours for a response, but still... that added up to days and days of wait time.

Adding to the chore were browser issues.  Certain links only worked in certain browsers, I created an account, then couldn't log in using their auto-assist account recovery options, OR even when assisted one-on-one by company reps, then...  I got unsecured (no https) page warnings on login attempts.

    I called it quits...

    • Can't say I disagree Jerry... they seem to make a good product but they certainly lack in some areas. They are definitely fast to reply, but like you, the replies are a little "wanting" if I could put it that way.

Regardless, they did help me though. They actually have an eBay store that you may feel more secure ordering from IF you decide to go for it.

To me... it's the Goliath or the Eurmax. If someone told me 2 years ago about the super strong EZ up style tents with vinyl canopy's (like the V3) then I would have skipped the trimline altogether and put that money into a Vitabri or similar. But for now, I just wanted an easier option for short shows.

      • I don't think EURMAX has a vinyl canopy option.  Not sure about the King products (I'm looking at them at this very moment...!).  Thanks for the "heads up" about the eBay site.  What is the V3, Bobby?

        • Hi Jerry,

You are right Eurmax does not have a vinyl canopy. If you want a vinyl canopy with the tent you're looking at spending $900 to 1,500.

The Vitabri V3 is one of a few companies that sell tents with vinyl canopies. Vinyl is the only time you will see a canopy advertised as "rain proof." You definitely pay a premium. There is at least 1 small company that makes vinyl canopies for tents, but unless they knew it worked for my tent and was a good fit (not many people know Eurmax) then I would not drop the money.

There is a thread worth reading from this summer about someone like yourself and myself who was looking for a new, stronger ez up tent.

To help make your choice you really need to first decide how much you want to spend. There is not a ton of feedback on these tents, but there also aren't a lot of options for the different price points. After looking around, there was no clear winner with tons of feedback like you get with a Trimline discussion.

PS About a month after I bought my tent I saw that Eurmax had a 10% off on eBay... oh well.

          • I'm not averse to dropping some moderately serious coin for a quality product that has nicely integrated accessories.  I just looked at Vitabri, and WOW...!  Their "Nomad Shop" is utterly amazing.

I am selling photographic prints, and I didn't see anything specific to displaying that kind of product, but the booth for "farmers" made me want to quit photography and take up organic gardening...!

            • I recently bought a Vitabri V3 tent from instent.com and I am most certainly impressed with their quality, attention to detail and their customer service.

Sure, it is expense but quality, in my opinion is worth it...every penny of it because I want to protect my work.

I just ordered a set of their sta-bar support braces and am waiting to receive them. These should give me additional support strength for an already stable tent...but it will also give me a horizontal bar to hang stuff from.

They are also making a custom wall for me with 2 zippered 30" rear doors.

I have been dealing with Mathieu Hayaud who is the Vice President is Sales and Operations...and Mathieu has been extremely helpful during the entire process.

As far as Eurmax goes, I personally would not have any further dealings with them because of the extensive run around and excuses I received after attempting to return a tent roller bag that I bought from them for another tent I have. They initially said I could return it but i finally gave up after getting tired of all their crap.

I spoke to an artist at a very rainy show I did in Memphis recently. He had a Eurmax tent and said it leaked quite a bit and he was not happy with it..even after treating it with a water repellent spray.

              Oooh...If Trimline only made a pop-up tent..!

              • Thanks, Greg.

I am drooling over the Vitabri.  We don't have a lot of rain here in "The Old Pueblo", but when we do it's like Thor dropped his hammer. I sent Vitabri a quote request...!  If it works out, I may drive out to HB to pick it up as I need it by the 14th...

I'll let you know if it works out.

              • Yes! You were the gent who bought that nice Vitabri.

I did call them (nice to talk to a human unlike Eurmax) but they couldn't do anything on price. I think I recall you saying you got somewhat of a better deal with bundling something. Regardless, I've thought to myself about the superior tent. Maybe I will regret it in a few years, but the Eurmax is very economical at $430 with walls, and I will be shocked if I can't get a solid couple years out of it. It seems much better built that my "sturdier" EZ up that I have used for probably 50 events.

  • Just wanted to chime back in after using the tent for a couple shows.

It is lightweight yet feels a lot more sturdy than an EZ up.

I haven't been through any inclement weather yet, but it definitely could hold up better than standard $200 tents you see all day long at beginner shows.

It's nice to have the trimline vinyl canopy, and I think that's really the only thing that I miss. But setting up, this thing is a breeze. The company service department needs a native English speaker, but other than that this tent seems to be a good one.

    I'm looking forward to it.

    • Another note for anyone that cares about the King Canopy Goliath. I have 2 of these and 2 of the sides are in need of replacement. One broken zipper pull, one missing zipper pull. Emailed them pictures and a few days later a full new set of 4 sides appeared on my doorstep. Great customer service! (again)
