I'm curious if anyone has took it all on the road for a year or maybe 6 mos? Or maybe just 1 month.. Is there a discussion category where people share about this that I missed?
Or if you know someone who has?
My fiance and I are wondering about it...
Thanks for any input!
Cheers,
Barbara

Im kinda sorta planning on doing that next year. I have a Rialta RV which is awesome, it gets about 17 to 20mpg, has a shower, bathroom, kitchen and its only 21ft long. The problem is that I don't have much room to pack all my paintings, canopy, and supplies. Looking into putting a roof rack to help store gear. Another problem is what to do with my dog! Can't have him with me during the show, and since he's 15 it would be too long to leave him alone in the RV. I will be on my own most of the time, so it is an issue.
Hi Barbara, My wife and I went on an experimental tripin the 90's to test the waters for 3 months on the east coast from Oregon, we ended up spending 8 years full time. We did around 45 shows a year and tried to schedule them so we were always on the way to the next show.within a 4 hour dirve. We had a 1990 bounder motorhome pulling a aerostar van. I do wire sculpture so am able to work on the road. We would set up for the show either thursday or friday work the weekend then spend monday driving to the next location and spend tuesday and wednesday working or sightseeing. we would usually endup in Florida in the winter and do shows there. Once we went to AZ and did tempe and tuscon and stayed for the winter there but too few shows back then. We would go back and forth from Michigan to Florida and do many of the carolina craftsmen shows in Virginia and North Carolina. We used a mail forwarding service for our address and had mail shipped general delivery a week ahead of when we would be where we could pick it up. I would be happy to give you any information or advice my email is garych65@gmail.com website is artwiregraphics.com
