I've been accepted to Amdur Lincolnshire and I am not sure whether to do it. I am also considering Gold Coast, Glencoe, and Millenium Park. Any advice on which ones to do? I posted this once before but no one answered who had done any of these shows. I'm a newbie and need help.

Thanks for answering! Michael do you agree with Signe that the crowds weren't there for Linconshire and people weren't buying. Have either of you done any of her other shows of the ones I mentioned above. Amdur says Glencoe is hard to get into even though its a fairly new show. Signe have you done Gold Coast? I do not own Art Fair Source Book but do plan on getting it for next years shows.Thanks for your help.
I did Lincolnshire in 2007. It was an average show for me. But, I had a repeat customer that bought one of my more expensive pieces. I did not return in 08 because of a schedule conflict with a more regular show. May of the Amdur shows appear to be lower revenue shows. Some work great for folks, not for others. Be cautious of the first and second year shows. They haven't been in existence long enough to establish a patron pattern. I am doing Gold Coast this year -- First time. I have no experience in the downtown Chicago area. I have no idea if this is the market for my work or not. I usually do OK in a midwest Urban Setting. If you subscribe to it, Art Fair Source Book has pretty good write-ups and artist comments on most major shows.
