Greetings

Hello; I found this website and blog when I was looking for ideas on helping artists be more successful at art markets and festivals. I'm a big fan of going to them myself, and through my work we sponsor a small and medium size art fairs in Washington state. I thought it seemed like a good place to get ideas on how people display their work and sell to the public, but then also a good place to discuss ideas about promotion and buyers in a tight economy.

Personally myself, I design some jewelry and have sold it before, but mostly I'm on the other end of the arts festival but it is one of about 15 different kinds of activities we do around the field of art. I'm at the Longhouse Education and Cultural Center at The Evergreen State College and we promote Native arts and cultures through arts workshops, events, conferences, some small grant-making and lots of grant writing.
