Hey! I will be in Grand Haven in a few weeks doing the HAE show and cant seem to find an affordable place to stay thats not all the way in Grand Rapids! Anyone going or know a good place to stay in Grand Haven? Is there generally a place a lot of the artists stay?

It's high season in Grand Haven and all along the Western shore of Lake Michigan. When we were in the Grand Haven, I seem to recall staying at the Best Western on Beacon Rd. There aren't a lot of hotels, so it's going to be relatively expensive to stay in Grand Haven. Somewhere around $100/night.

We only did that show once. It was marginal for sales, but a pleasant little town, filled with Chicago-land tourists. Not worth going back, for me.
There are lots of little towns around Grand Haven if you don't mind driving a bit. Muskegon is just up the road; Holland a bit east. The Grand Haven site lists a few places.
Thanks Jim... I think I will just end up finding somewhere in Grand Rapids then... I dont mind driving a little.
I am finding that the more I look into shows in general, you can find reviews recommending and discouraging every show! So I know in the end I just have to feel it all out for myself! Hopefully my different experiences will pay off in one way or another!
