I'm doing at least May and June of a 5x Second Saturday's show (May-September) this summer already in North Kansas City. It's free so if it goes well I'll do more dates of it. I did 4 times of it last year and it was really slow. They changed the format this year to start later and overlap more of a car show at the same location which draws lots of people out.
However, I just got an email about getting into my first juried show ever! It's the Liberty, MO show and is Saturday only. Their fall festival draws 30,000 in a town of 30,000 and there's a history of community support in general. The spring show is always quite a bit slower than in the fall but last year I went and it had more people than the NKC show did.
Three more shows to hear back on, next two by the end of May and one late July. I want to get into at least one big three-day show this year.
If you're in KC come up to downtown Liberty June 4 and look for the giant camera hanging from a tent.
