Hi all, I am new here and to the world of art fairs. I'm in Texas for the time being, and i work with acrylic and also color pencils. I have done mostly commissioned pieces, but I am wanting to do some prints for lower price points - i feel like i am running around in circles. How do you photograph your art?? Do you have a professional do it? What are the typical costs of this? I've also been to several printers and am i wrong to be so shocked that i would have to pay $150 per scan, per piece of art?????? Sigh * Please advise! Thank you!

I should also add that if your originals are large and you want to do reproductions, you probably should have them scanned but make sure to get RGB files from the print house to use for jury images. Not CMYK converted to RGB.

My originals are 16 x 20, and 11 x 14 at the moment. I just looked over the links you sent...thank you so much, and i just may be contacting you in the near future. First i need to re-take pictures!
