Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts

I just came from a meeting of the organizers for the Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts. I have had a couple of people ask about it and I can't remember so I'll just try posting here.

It's a really small show run by the Glen Ellyn Lions. They are trying really hard to make this a better show for the artists and they were nice enough to ask several of the artists to come and talk with us about what they could do to improve the show.

I'm a local artist and if they make a few of the improvements they talk about I could see this show slowly improving. It has the right ingredients, they just need the recipe. I did about 60% to 70% of my typical sales at this show last year, but it was inexpensive and low stress to do. I wouldn't travel for it, but if you are a Chicagoland person and have a hole in your schedule it's a rather laid back event to consider. It will be listed on Zapp soon making it much easier to apply.

Toward the end of August, they should have it listed on Zapp soon. They really don't know what professional artists expect of a show committee and they are trying to fix that.

Thanks for the "heads up." About what time of year is this show typically held?
