Just wanted to stop in and say hi!
I am a full time Student at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online division, going for my associates degree in Graphic Design. I have been an artist my whole life and I love what I do. I started doing Pyrography in 2003 and completely fell in love with it. There is so much you can do with wood, possibilities are endless! I also enjoy Pen & Ink, Mostly I stipple which is VERY time consuming but the outcome is amazing. Currently I am working on a mural in the Poconos for my brother. It's a very large 3rd floor master suite. Estimated time of completion is about 2 weeks.
Nice to meet you all and thank you for accepting me into you community :)

Hi and welcome. You will find a lot of useful information here. I'm a newbie myself to the art circuit and have gain a lot of information reading through the various posts.
Your work is outstanding. Look forward to seeing more in the future.
I'm a wood sculputor, but do some pyrography on my relief work to highlight and add definition. http://www.facebook.com/jiharrisfineart.
Hello Erica and welcome. We are glad you have joined us, too. You mentioned some things I have never heard of. What is Pyrography? Is that something to do with fire? I love Pen and Ink, too, but have no idea what Stipple is? What is that? When you finish the mural for your brother please post a photo of your work. It sounds like it will be amazing. Is that being done in Pen and Ink? I am looking forward to seeing your completed work. Good to have you here with us.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I am very happy to have been invited to such a wonderful site! I am finally at the point in my life where it's now or never and I need to push to get seen, this will definitely help!!!
Pyrography means "To draw with Fire". I picked it up in 2003 for Christmas. I have pieces on my website, feel free to take a look :) Crystalphoenix13.webs.com
Stippling is also known as "Pointillism" or drawing with dots. It is VERY tedious but the outcome is amazing!
I am hopefully finishing or at least closer to finish this weekend. I have a few orders to fill, class work and pieces to do for the upcoming Art show. I be busy :) But I love it!
