I am looking for shows that promote recycled eco green art. I am familar with the indie shows , but my art is more fine art not craft, so thinking my sculptures might be to pricey.
I use recycled wood and make freestanding and wall sculptures. They range in price from $55 for my mini ones , to over $500 for larger ones. Anyone do indie shows that sell things in that range?
Anyone do Crafty Bastards in DC?

Harrison, thank you, yes it does exist, they have a show that is an Eco-Festival in Manayunk. It appears to be in it's 3rd year. I just looked it up. It conflict this year with a show I plan on doing locally, but will consider it next year.

Janet, Thank you for more information on the ACC shows. I looked it up and yes they are quite expensive. Did you do they wholesale show and retail?
I bet Kentuck would be a good fit too. I'd maybe look at more folk art shows instead of indie. This is by looking at your etsy shop.
Holly- Having done a few ACC shows (I don't imagine Larry has as he's a photographer) I would NOT recommend any of their shows. They are quite expensive and everyone comes to buy jewelery or clothing. I have never made any money at their shows.
Kentuck would be a good fit and it's fun to do. And not expensive.
Hi, I have also heard of the Manayunk art festival having a recycle or eco version. I am not 100% sure if it fits your kind of art but its worth checking out. Im not sure if it still exist.

I am thinking of trying Crafty Bastards, but just take my smaller sculptures and I do some other things as well, that aren't as pricey.
I have applied to Artscape, won't know until end of the month if I am in. Hope I am!
A lot of my friends have done Crafty Bastards and say it's their best show, but be sure to take a look at last years vendors list. There aren't many things offered for over $100.

ACC would definitely be a good fit. Also possibly Artscape in Baltimore.
Oh, and by the way, Larry, thank you for your information on taking photos for jurying. I have a lot to learn about that, this is my first attempt at getting into larger shows. I have done well getting into show in WV, but I think it was my work and not my photos that helped. (:

Thank you for the advice on the Zapp image, I already used it for one show. I didn't think about my name being on it. Last week was my first time using the Zapp process. I hope it doesn't get kicked out. I will change it for my other shows I am applying too.

I think the ACC (American Craft Council) shows have a green section.
If the image I clicked on is your actual ZAPP image, you need to remove your name from the base of the sculpture (in Photoshop). Some shows will kick your application back due to identification in the images, asking you to remove it. Better to do it prior to uploading to ZAPP.
