I'm really hoping that someone on this forum will recognize the artist who created the pieces that I've attached pictures of. I'm 90% sure that he was featured in a USAirways magazine probably 20-25 years ago. I'm guessing that he is no longer active because I've tried searching for about every term to describe his art that I can think of on Google and I've come up with nothing.
Do you recognize who would have made these? They are what I would call "kinetic sculptures". They have wheels which drive mechanical linkages that cause parts of the animal to move as you push the object. They are mostly made of copper and light gauge steel. They are unsigned and I'm frustrated at not being able to tie a name to the work!
I've attached 3 photos to this post.
Thanks very much in advance for your assistance!

I also do know there is an automotive museum in Birmingham, AL, that has some of Sonny's work and perhaps this person's work also since it is articulated ...
These are wonderful pieces, Alan. I have no idea whose work they are though. We'll share here and on our Facebook page to see if we can help you out.
Sonny Dalton was one of our dearest friends. He and his wife Roxie were so much fun, smart and generous. We traveled together and did uncounted shows together. His work will live on. I have a few pieces myself as I know many people do.
Try checking the post again now. I think that Connie did something to make them display in the main text rather than just as attachments. Thanks!
