This is one patron's point of view.
Got there early on Saturday, radar indicating rain would stay away till 1 or 2. This is an Amdur show. There were police directing traffic and there was a trolley for people who had to park across the street (a busy 4 lane, 45mph road) in a distant parking lot. Amy tries to think of everything.
The first thing we noticed when we started looking was an enormous amount of jewelry booths. There were so many that there would be two next to each other and more across from those two. I asked a jeweler about that and she said that Amy is known for having a lot of jewelers so you just expect it at one of her shows.
I think I only saw one or two new artists that I had never seen before. That was a little disappointing. I am always interested in seeing new artists. I realize it is a difficult thing for show producers; you want to keep the show fresh yet everyone wants their favorite artists to be at the show.
The one thing Amy can't take care of is the weather. The rain showed up early and got increasingly harder as we walked toward the front of the show. The tents were closing, we were getting wetter and the only logical thing to do was go home.
