I really want to frame my work because I think it adds dignity to it, I like it framed! But some tell me that is not worthy....Is there a special place you would recommend by experience, $, quality, and liability? Some advices about framing?

  • Hi Barbara! I am very excited about this! you are the first artist >I meet! I will be in the little Plaza as an emerging artist, I wont have a booth, they are giving me a wall...so I am the one that does contemprorary realism ....roses, ribbons, still life...just now I am out of the country but as soon as I am home I´ll show you a little bit of my work...my web page is under construction..almost done! Thank you! and I hope I meet you soon...I actually live at Geneva! Best Misha Norman (Michele)

    Thank you Larry,
what they meant is that they would sell even if I don´t spend in framing...I think they are just being nice! but I do agree with you, thank you for your advice, I´m going to Riverside Arts Fair to get the idea. Best, Misha Norman

    Hello

It depends in your budget and what image you want to represent. Either way you should stay in one style of presentation.

  • I don't fully understand your question. I'm not a painter but I assume customers prefer to purchase oil paintings framed ready to hang or as gallery wrapped canvas, ready to hang. Reproductions can be unframed in bins at shows that allow reproductions. But are you saying some may not be worthy to frame? If so, don't bring them to a show because they probably won't sell.

Have you walked art shows and looked at how other oil painters framed their work?
