I'm thinking about my trip to the Des Moines art fair. I know it's early yet, but I'm wondering about crossing the Mississippi. I'm driving from Florida. My plan is to head north from Atlanta, go through Bloomington, IL. Drive to Hwy 80 in Davenport, IA, and cross the Mississippi there. Then take Hwy 80 to DesMoines.
Does anyone know if this will be a problem? Any advice? Is this flooding going to affect the artfair?
Thanks.

Maiya. Ellen and I will be coming the same way. It will be OK, because by then floods will be a distant memory.
If all else fails, we got Munks Cat to rely on. While in Florida with Webbie and Me, the cat confided he could get us over the Big Muddy by some secret passage he knows. We are good. Webbie and I bought the cat shots all nite--so we are golden.
Linnea was right. The spring floods will be gone.
But, thank God for Munks Cat. I'll keep on painting because I've got Munks Cat on my side, and if anyone has all the right information, obviously, it's Munks Cat.
Im going to follow you across the bridge. All kidding aside, I'm glad I can stop worrying. See you there.
A cat will not lead you into danger. I have learned this from experience: I follow mine around frequently. When she finds a safe place to nap, I know it’s good for me, too.
That's the end of June, right? By then spring floods should be over, and the river will have dropped.
Of course, this could be the year....... I feel like I'm tempting fate, just saying that.
Too much flood damage might cause patrons to be not in the mood to buy art, though. But that's out of your control.
