I am in the middle of trying to pick a cohesive group of jewelry pics, 5 in all, for upcoming jurying. I was thinking of having Larry Berman look at them, but then thought I'd just do it through this forum and get input from lots of people. I was having trouble uploading the images here, so I put them all on 1 page. #1,4,5,6 and 9 were, as you can no doubt tell, done by a professional, some by Hap Sakwa and 1 by Larry Sanders. The rest by me. Part of my problem is that as between #1 and 2, I kind of like the #2 necklace better, but the #1 photo is better. Ditto between 3 and 4. The bottom row is my newest work, and I like it alot, but I'm guessing I should leave it out. It doesn't blend well with the other work ( or with the work in the booth shot). I can see the geometric connection, but it's not so apparent at first glance. Also, I always have a tendency to think my newest work is my best, but that may not always be true. And so much of what I like has to do with "beadworky" things that don't matter to a juror. My current picks are 1,3,6 7 (or 8)and 9, but if I were to pick an hour from now, it might be different. What looks best, and cohesive, to anyone else?

What's hard about one of a kind work is I don't make things that match each other.I don't do necklace, ring and bracelet sets. I don't do things that remotely match, so how do I do a cohesive set of images?
OK now I've loaded 10 possible images to Larry's site, and then 2 possible 5 picture groupings. The URL is http://www.juryimages.com/jury/index.php?action=view&userId=318. I think anyone can see it and comment, or maybe even play with other groupings (I'm not sure about that but Larry can tell us) I used mostly the professional pics.

I rearranged the images and gave you my opinion on a set of five on the top row and a set of four on the second row.

Thanks for the input. I seem to be having a day of terminal computer stupidity (I have lots of those), but I couldn't figure out where I go to log back in to delete some images. So I'm glad you could work with what was there. You gravitated toward the more colorful ones, and I can see that makes sense, in terms of immediate impact on a juror.
You should upload the images to my JuryImages.com web site and create different presentations that you can test against each other.

Then you can share the link to ask for suggestions.
