I have not been there in over a decade, though back then I did it numerous times. I know a couple of years ago bad storms slammed one area, and parts were a mudpit.
I had asked for an area on my application on ZAPP, based on their map and my prior recollections. But though my request covered almost a quarter of the grounds, they didn’t put me in any of those areas. Before I ask them to change it, I want have more information on what areas are more likely to be problematic. Thanks!

Hello. I live in Cincinnati, and did this show this past weekend. I know this is probably too late for you, but it may help someone in the future. It is unlikely that flooding would effect only part of this show. The river has to get very high to flood the Coney Island area, and when it does it typically covers the entire area. In fact, in 1997 the entire area where the show takes place was under about 6-8 feet of water. This past spring, the Ohio river got to 58' which is about 3' above flood stage. During this flood, the water got all the way out onto (and closed) Kellogg Ave, which puts the entire area under water (although not all that deep). The end of May is late enough for that type of flooding to be of no real level of concern. We did have a pretty heavy downpour (about 15 minutes), that left some standing water here and there during the show. They were pretty quick to get people out to spread the water out, and lay straw where necessary to keep it from being muddy. My wife did comment that she saw one poor artist who had a huge puddle right in front of their tent that prevented access to the booth, but I am not sure what section that was in (I rarely get a chance to wander far during a show).
