I have been doing the Chautauqua shows for several years now and they are, without fail, my best shows every time. The organization is terrific, setting is gorgeous. There is a lot of money there and the people who reside and visit are drawn by artistic and intellectual pursuits. In other words: the perfect customer base. Make sure you get professional photos done, especially with glass. I know some really fine glass artisans that have been rejected because of their photos. The set up is a bit tedious because you are setting up along a narrow, one way road, so the spots are staggered and you have a set-in-stone set up time and 30 minutes to dump and run. You park your car in the assigned lot across from the grounds and then come back to set up. It usually runs like clockwork unless an artist screws up. This is the notification I sweat about every year because I love it there so much. Even if I didn't sell a thing, I would love it. It's a very special place. Your pass to the show also gets you access to the shows there, which are usually pretty awesome. But for our purposes, here, it's all about the sales, and they have been stellar for me. A good canopy is important because weather along the Finger Lakes can be interesting. :) Good luck.
