Cell Phone usage

After a tiring day, a commuter settled down in his seat and closed his eyes.

As the train rolled out of the station, the young woman sitting next to him pulled

out her cell phone and started talking in a loud voice:

"Hi sweetheart. It's Sue. I'm on the train".

"Yes, I know it's the six thirty and not the four thirty, but I had a long meeting".

"No, honey, not with that Kevin from the accounting office. It was with the boss".

"No sweetheart, you're the only one in my life".

"Yes, I'm sure, cross my heart!"

Fifteen minutes later, she was still talking loudly.

When the man sitting next to her had enough, he leaned over and said into the phone,

"Sue, hang up the phone and come back to bed."

Sue doesn't use her cell phone in public any longer.

  • I love it!

It's unbelievable how rude some cell phone users are! I have done shows where an exhibitor is talking to a customer and her cell phone goes off. She actually interrupts the sale and answers the phone!! What does the customer do? She walks out knowing that the phone call was more important than her.

And the exhibitor lost a sale.

You see, I'm old enough to remember the world before cell phones. Customers were the number one reason we were there, and we weren't surgically attached to a piece of electronics.

Unless you're waiting on the status of a dying family member, let that call go to voicemail whenever a customer is in your booth.

    • I would never interrupt a face to face conversation to answer a cell phone ...and if I am talking to someone and they answer a cell phone call I will immediately walk away from them.

  • too funny, need to remember this next time on  the plane.
