Hello, I'm a bead weaver from Canada. I also spend half the year in the Caribbean, on a lovely island called Grenada.
I have fibromyalgia and various types of arthritis, so am not really into art fairs, but was hoping to find some good ideas to make them easier. Anything, anything, just to make life easier!
I also want to brush up on my photography. My husband is a professional photographer, but can I get him to do my jewelry? Not. He doesn't do pregnant women, babies or apparently, jewelry. He did buy me a nice "tent" so I'm learning how to use that.
Glad to have found this site.

Hi Fran!
Welcome to the site :) So no jewelry but photography huh? Well, on one hand at least you'll have someone to do the photos of your art work! This is a great thing. Where in Canada are you? I bet the warmer climate helps with your physical ailments though.
Are you planning to try any art fairs in the future at all?
Welcome Fran! I am from Minnesota (close to Canada) and lucky enough to spend half the year in Florida. Are there art fairs in Grenada? I know Canada has some art fairs but I have never been to any of them. What tent did your husband get for you? There are some that are definitely easier to put together than others. If you are not into art fairs, how are you planning to use your tent?
There is one resort here in Grenada that runs a craft fair at Christmas and one again at Easter. I know the owner and she has several boutiques that I hope to get my stuff into. Just having trouble getting together with her.
The "tent" is actually a small enclosed area used to assist with lighting when photography jewelry. Here's one: Light Tent
I don't have the fancy lights, but I do have the strong tropical sun.
Welcome Fran to our group. I think I could handle spending half the year in the Caribbean.
Thank you. Love your first name. Did you know that there are Callenders in Grenada?
