Has anyone done this show or know anything about it? In a fit of ambitious opptimism this summer, I applied to this show, and well, I didn't do my research (I'm ashamed to admit it!) Now I'm trying to find out any info I can and couldn't come up with a revue here, or really, any where else. Any thoughts?

I was in the gym which is where most people come in and hope to be there again.
It's at one of the park houses that has several groups that give shows there in the fall/winter. The rooms are on the second floor and there is one elevator. I am okay without lights, generally the rooms are bright enough, but certainly bringing lights could help. Spaces are very tight. Generally this show ranks in the top half of the shows that I do, but I'm not sure that I would do it if I had travel expenses (which I don't). I live 1/2 hours away.
Sincerely,
Wanaree
How was the show?
I'd given up holiday shows as the gift giving price point most attendees want is below mine, in general, but I was considering this one.
Hey Linnea,
Well, it took place during a blizzard, so I don't know if it was an accurate picture of how the show normally goes. If I lived in Chicago, I would consider doing it again, but I don't so I won't be returning. It may just be my experience, but in general Chicago shows haven't been worth the travel expenses. I took this one to fill the weekend, and although I had fun and was surrounded by some good artists, there were some re-sale type booths (ie fair trade and vintage) and as you know that never does an "art" show any favors in the long run. Load in was a bit chaotic, only one entrance, a rather small drive only two cars could pull in at the same time, and stairs (tho there was an elevator.) I wish this show the best of luck, it's hard to find indoor art shows this time of year, but I'm sure there's a reason reason for that ;)
Best of luck to you this year,
Wanaree
