I am fairly new to shows. When asked for a booth shot I have been submitting a full photo of my booth. I assumed they wanted to know what type of tent I have, if there is flooring, the scale of work, etc. Do they really want just the inside of the booth with maybe two walls showing? How important is the booth shot other than to show you have a professional setup? I just submitted several applications for next spring with the full view (trimline with mesh walls). What is the norm?
Thanks for any suggestions. Shows seem to be very specific about the art photos, but not booth shots.

Thanks Larry. I have read most of your stuff and it has been so helpful. This link was great. In the last pic it would be possible to crop more of the top of the tent off to get rid of the sissor bars but that would make it much more narrow.

If you get rid of the roof it doesn't look like an outdoor booth anymore. I don't understand the use of the word "narrow" because cropping of the top makes it more horizontal.
I have wondered as well how much I should crop off my tent. The booth shot gets so narrow when all but just the smalles part of the inside of the tent shows. Does this not matter?

Thank you, Larry. I see I made some basic mistakes that will need to be corrected for future applications. I focused more on the tent than the artwork. Seems this is about the interior display rather than the tent. Right now I am putting everything back into the business to improve my display, etc. hoping to go "full time" on the circuit by next fall. I have been fortunate enough in selling, but have to get into the show to sell. Everything helps.

Good for you for asking for (and taking) the coaching. Good luck!

Thanks, Geoff. I also followed an old thread of yours that had a site for Florida Festivals. Thanks for that one. I live in Georgia, but like doing coastal shows and it's harder to find the smaller ones.
