    Elissa I think you will be happy with the Lowes outdoor rug.  Mine is 12 feet wide, so I can put two ends under the tent and propanel feet.  That seems to be enough to keep it flat and I haven't had any prolbems with people tripping.  I don't bother using it when I am on grass.  If and when the rug gets soaking wet with dirty street water just get it out of your tent and try to find a truck or even the rough of your van/car.  Throw the rug over the truck bed and as long as it isn't raining the rug will be dry and look as good as new in a few hours.

    I used to use those 2'x2' foam mats, but gave up on them. Number one, in a tight-fitting space, like most indoor shows have, 10'x10' is just a tad too big, especially if you arrive after your closest neighbors. I also had people tripping on the edge, and one actually fell into my booth and knocked over two teapots. I should get an outdoor carpet, but I find that not having one is not that detrimental to the overall look. I have never considered a rug for an outdoors show, only indoors.

    We also use an RV mat, looks great, doesn't absorb water the way our old indoor/outdoor run from Lowe's did and can be more easily cleaned. It also doesn't weigh as much, even when it's wet, which for Seattle area shows is a huge plus. It's also reversable so if we're on the road for back to back shows and one side gets dirty we can flip it over.

    We use a RV rug/mat  8 x 12.  It folds up to the size of 2 carrybag chairs (in its own bag) and sweeps or can be hosed clean

    I bought some black anti-fatigue floor mats last year.  They can be very expensive.  But I got lucky and found 3x3 mats for $10 on sale at Menards (throughout the Midwest).  Bought 9 of them.  The difference is huge.  Even patrons comment about them when they walk into the tent.  And they don't look bad at all.  I've only used them on paved streets.

      Mad mat made from recylced plastic, to clean just hose it down and it's reversable

    I bought a the grey outdoor carpeting from Lowes.  It comes 12' wide and any length you want.  I think it cost about $60 to get one 11' long.  Then I went to my first exactly 10' x 10' booth space show and cut it down to 10.5' x 10.5'.   That is just enough to put all 4 legs of the tent on. It comes out of the truck looking rumpled and horrid but by the time I put the tent up and pull it taut it looks nice.  When it gets dirty I just spray it down with water and let it dry in the sun.  I carry some of those big 60 gallon bags with me to put it in if it gets too wet / dirty to put in the truck as is.

      Alison, do you tape your rug down at your booth entrance so that folks do not trip? It sounds like you are folding the rug rather than rolling it up?
