I am a photographer living full-time on the road and am preparing for art shows starting in late summer/early Fall. I have my booth and inventory ready to take my photo. Unfortunately, Im in the west and getting an overcast/cloudy day has proven elusive for months. So, I am trying to get creative as to where to get my photo. Have you any of you taken your booth photo indoors? Or, do you have any recommendations for indoor spaces? I'm considering storage units, garages, large conference rooms, meeting rooms in hotels, etc. Any experience/ideas you all may have would be greatly appreciated!

Any of those will work. A conference room will work as long as there is sufficient height for the tent. If the ceiling panels are the drop-in suspended ceiling you can let onepaqnel ride up. What is strongly suggested is to use lights mounted up in the ceiling of your tent. I did a booth shot in a friend's store backroom that was carpeted. I mounted 5 Novatron flash heads in the upper struts and used the canopy as a giant reflector. It worked like a champ, although I added a Vivitar 283 on the camera just to get a kicker light on the fronts of the flipbins that were close to the the front edge.
Later versions I used LED (5000K) worklights zip tied the the upper X struts of the EZ-Up and had those shining directly on the prints. I did use a 10x15 storage locker another time due to cold weather. When they say 10' widths, they're not kidding. I had to add a 10' 2x2 to one side of the locker so the frame wasn't cock-eyed in the locker. PS will take that out. The advantage there is that you can leave everthing set up in case the shoot requires several days. Spacing between hanging prints can be closeup front but hasto widen out at the side rear due to perspective distortion and the angle your're shooting at. Best best is to shoot tethered to a laptop so you can see the image in larger scale to get things just right.
Thank you for this information, Robert. Using the canopy as a reflector is a great idea and one that may help me get my booth shot sooner rather than later!
