Has anyone found a good program to transport sales from Etsy and other business data such as other sales from art shows, expenses, etc. I have been told quickbooks is good but I don't know if it is compatible to transport data from Etsy. I want something that is easy to use.

Not sure on the etsy compatibility, but I love my Quickbooks. I keep track of finished goods inventory,
sales, profit and loss, all expenses, sales tax payable, and can even find my best selling categories very easily. The best way to find out is visit the website and email them a question...that's what I would do!
Funny you just mention this as today my husband and I were going over my books. And when I say books I mean miss placed receipts, gaps in my record books, and info I just "haven't found the time" to update. Needless to say I am REALLY bad about the accounting portion of doing business, this is where my husband comes in - he's a genius with the stuff. For the past few years I have been using Microsoft Money and love it. It really helps keeping my finances organized espeically when it comes to tax season in identifying what is business expenses and breaking down business expenses regarding travel expenses, income from shows as well as wholesale accounts and online shops. It is compatible with many banks and such, but I set up my own accounts into checking, savings, and credit cards. I actually enter in the transactions - and I am now told I have to do this every Saturday morning now seeing as how I don't like doing this "dirty" work to make sure I am on top of everything. Now I have entertained quickbooks but I do see that software better fitting for serious online sellers as well as those who have employees and well something bigger than a sole proprietorship business. I hear it is great for organization, easy data entry, and all that, but for me and what I do the expense is too great and what I need to do is all in Microsoft Money. Good luck on finding more info on the topic as well as getting reviews on it too!

Microsoft has discontinued Money, and will no longer support it online, or via tech support.
