Bethlehem,pa

hi! any feedback from art & crafters who have done Musikfest in Bethlehem,pa?

PS.It amazes us how lots of shows have plenty of promotion on their site about music, food, etc but just a tiny hidden blurb promoting what makes the show-artists like us! Frustrated w/that!

    Deb,

When we lived in PA we had some friends who did it.... once. D&D woodcraft from Saylorsburg.
They agreed, well over a million people attended, but they didn't let their daughters out of their sights after 5 pm.

But they were there for the musik, the music, and the food/beer.

And if they hear the "Chicken Dance" one more time....!

    Hi,
We live 30 min. from Bethlehem. The reason crafters only get a little spot on the site is because they are a very small part of Musikfest. I never did it and here are the reasons. The crafters are tucked on a back path away from the main areas. The crafters aren't very well juried(read between the lines) Michelle is right, the people are there for the music and possibly to eat. The crowd isn't an art demographic, unless your selling the Musikfest poster. I visit Musikfest all the time, look at the crafters and rate the disappointment on their faces. Go to enjoy the music and food.

  • It's hard to have a good show when the main attraction is not the art. After doing a couple of shows where it's really for the music I've learned to pick a different show or stay home and work.
