Banner in booth

I am interested in getting a banner for in the booth that shows my product. Bruce Baker recommends having an image up in the booth to set the tone for the customer.

What is the best material for this?  I do not want grommets, but want it to hang flat, roll up for storage, be water resistant and cost under $100.

What would you recommend?  Who would you go to for the printing?

  • Under $100 in vinyl is doable.  However, vinyl tends to "roll" up and not lie flat after it has been rolled up and stored.  I switched to a fabric-like material for my banners and love it.  It is water-proof and NEVER curls up.  I had my photographer order them.

  • Karen, you can also get free business cards from Vista print.  Just keep in mind Vista print will continue to send you lots of emails to entice you to buy lots of other stuff.  If you are strong enough to resist impulse buying it is a great place to get stuff for your business.   I want an Art Fair Insiders tote bag  :-).

  • Check out Vistaprint.  I use their small banner size
  • I used a company called PK Graphics (Miami Beach) for mine. They regularly run sales for $5/sq.ft. vinyl printed banners. I believe they are a franchise so they may have a location near you; or they may ship. They have printed both my business cards and my banners. They did a nice job on both.
  • Google "full color vinyl poster" or "4-color vinyl poster" and check out the websites. My signs are 2-feet wide and whatever length I want with a sleeve at the top and bottom for hanging. I had mine done locally at a photoshop that's out of business now, but there are plenty of place that do this work. Doing a quick search on the internet, I found www.printrunner.com. They show banners starting a less than $40. On the far right side, look for the options under "finishing," and click the drop down menu. Instead of grommet style, you can get "pole pockets" (sleeves) on the left/right side or top/bottom. I don't know about this company, but this is a good starting point. Good luck. 301638715?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024

  • Hi Karen,

I have a local lab that can do it. Last time I checked, they print on vinyl and can sew grommets or sleeves in the top and bottom for dowels. Then you can store it between shows rolled up in a shipping tube.
