Hello all,
I am new to this forum. I recently opened a creative art studio and thought it would be best to do some market research. So, I created an online Artist Market survey. It conducts research on the current climate of the two dimensional art market in North America from the viewpoint of the artist. So far I have received 14 responses. Those who consider themselves to be fine artist all agree that art fairs/trades shows are successful. Those responses have lead me to this website.
I know surveys are not the most fun thing to do, but they are really helpful for a new business owner. I would love to have your input. My survey is anonymous, it asks 12 questions and takes 5 minutes. I have also added an email address at the end of the survey for anyone who wishes to receive a brief summary of my results.

Thank you in advance.
Best regards,

There are some surveys available via CODA's webiste, www.coda.org, I think. You can google it to get the right site if what I wrote is wrong. Some are regional some are not. Some focus on art as a whole through various resources, but all developed through non-profits and economical dev. organizations. Might help in addition to getting more info as well as connecting to more artists as many in CODA are all about finding ways to support artists - through guilds, art schools/colleges, museum curators, art fair/gift show promoters, and the list goes on. Good luck with your survey and art studio.

Hello Michelle,
Thank you for the information and the suggestion. I will certainly look at their site. The address is www.codacraft.org -- coda.org took me to a co-dependent website :)
