I find that the basic info, dates, size ect is useful, I rely on other artists & crafters to get a real feel for a show. I like to do shows that are both art & craft shows, People looking for good art are also going to be my customers. Also when a show is rated high, it might be very good in one catagory and bad in another, need to see who participates in the show and ask the right questions. With the economy these days, I tend to do a lot more reserch than I use to.

  • Great to see you here, Linda. Miss seeing you at the shows.

Seems like the days when we'd chat behind the booth were a long time ago -- but always believed that was the very best source of information. Do you use both of those sources? where do you get your best tips?

    • Hi Connie,

It was a while ago....... Time flies way too fast. I use both, plus this site. I like your site because I get to hear from those who have done the show. When I want info on a show that I haven't done I try to take a look and see who did the show the previous year, gives me a pretty good idea of the quality.  Once in a while I will contact someone who has done the show and just ask them what they think. Some of my customers have given me good info on shows that they like and attend. Guess I listen to every one..........
