I saw on the blog some mention of RLI Insurance Company. I am an agent for RLI and noticed that some of the memebers on this forum had some questions concering the Business Owners Policy (BOP). I am not trying to sell my product on this site, but wanted to give anyone the opportunity to ask me any questions about the policy and how it would cover them if they sold arts and crafts items at fairs or festivals.
Thanks

Thanks for the info. Do you know much about www.actinspro.com
You both seem similar.
I think I have heard their name tossed around before.
RLI writes a Home Business Insurance Policy - we provide coverage at the home, in transit and while at an Arts and Crafts Show, Farmers Market, Etc. We have a pretty extensive list of business classes that fit our program.
Thanks
Terry

Hi All,
2011 has started off pretty busy as there are a ton of people from all over the country contacting me about insurance coverage for their home based businesses and for when they attend shows. If anyone has specific questions that they would like to discuss on the forum, please let me know.
Thanks

What we offer is a Home Based Insurance Policy - you can go to as many art shows as you need to, anywhere in the country and you will be covered but the primary base of the business operations must be conducted from the home.
We provide coverage for 2 main things - first is your Business Property - this is your inventory, tools, finished products, anything that is used for a business purpose. This is covered at the home, in transit to a show and while at a show.
Next is Business Liability - this is the liability that a lot of shows need in order for you to set up and display - it is coverage so if someone brings suit against you - like someone comes into your selling area, they trip and fall - you have coverage.
The premium depends on what you do, where you live and what limits you choose, but I can usually get people started around $200-$300 for the year, but it could be a little lower. If you have more questions you can give me a call or reply here - thanks!!
