Hi. I have older Armstrong screen walls and, this year, have purchased beautiful covers from Flourish. The covers are a little (okay, maybe more than "a little") difficult to get on so here's my question -- can I put them on and leave them on? Would I be risking my covers? If you have experience with this, please tell me your insights. Thank you.

Thanks for the great tips, Connie. This will make things soooo much easier. I already have a secure place to put them for travel so I am not worried that. We built a "shelf" in the van that the screens tuck under for protection (I try to treat them gingerly, given their age and experience). They are very secure. See you in Michigan.

I guess when you bought the screens from us they were our older ones, Barbara. The new screens we sold the year before had Flourish covers on them. They fit very tightly...we put them on once!! Do not be wasting your time taking them on and off. We (I) made a great big slip cover to cover them while they were in transit. We always stacked them together in one big stack, so one cover over them all worked. It was open on one side then velcroed. (Is that a word?)
But if you carry the screens separately -- I'll bet you can keep two or three together at least - with a cover that you won't mind messing up. I like the screens covered with fabric--because after a season or two if you are tired of the covers you can get new ones. I like them better than Pro-Panels, strictly for aesthetic reasons.

Thank you for your super-quick reply! And thanks for your information. I am leaning toward leaving them on.

Depends on how easy it is for you to get them in and out of your vehicle or set them up. I'm lazy and have a tendency to want to spend more money one time instead of hassling every weekend. I had vinyl mesh covers that the Craft Hut people made for my old home made racks. I kept them on until I sold the racks. ProPanels made a lot more sense because the ease in transporting and setting them up more than made up for the few hundred dollars I saved with the older covers. And they looked better also.
